It looks like it will be not hard to fix. They recommended pulling the two baby teeth and the extra permanent one that has not come out yet, putting a retainer that will hold the molars back and keep them from taking advantage of the space in the front. Other than that her teeth have nice spacing, nice bite, and healthy jaw. Insurance covers 1/2 of the retainer so if all I have to spend is $500.00 in her orthodontic work that is a bargain.
Most important of all she will keep her beautiful smile. It hit me after the appointment that if Kristina would have stayed in Russia she would not have had her extra teeth taken out and she would have had crooked teeth. Who knows is she would have smiled anyway, but it makes me feel good that we will be able to help her.

This got me thinking and I went back and looked at pictures. There was no smile on that pretty face. Look at her now.

She is a very lucky little girl to have such a great mama and papa!
I can remember Zack and Sophia looking so strangely at the camera at first and being so straight faced.
Now, they can't get enough face time!
Remember Zack's teeth? All of his front teeth were pretty much rotten. It was so sad. You wouldn't know it now because our awesome dentist "fixed" it all! And, soon, those little teeth will be falling out!
I am so happy to hear that Kristina gets to have a nice bright smile for life!
