Summer Vacation 2010 with Nizhny friends

We had the pleasure to enjoy our summer vacation with our friends from Nizhny for a second year in a row. Oleg went from being our translator during the adoption to a very very good friend (come to find out that it was not his job and he was just helping his friend Seryozha who was helping our friend Vika who was enquiring for us, we are forever grateful to all of them). We enjoyed every minute of his company and his family. Kristina enjoyed every bit of Anton's company ...what a treat for an only child, a buddy to play with for 2 solid weeks none stop.
We decided to make it a camping trip as Natasha and Anton had never being camping before. Goal: to reach San Fran from OC. We camped two days in Emma Wood in Ventura County; one day in Fernwood, Big Sur; one day in Sunset State Beach in Monterrey County (by far the best); two days in San Fran so we could see the city, and one day on the way back somewhere by central coast wine country. So if we were not RVing we were eating or playing at our pool...and some times just enjoying each other's company. "VACATION" became our motto. Here are some pics that capture our days.

Perhaps next time we see each other will be in 2 years in Nizhny. Kristina is ready and wants to go, she even asked if she could learn how to speak "like them" in Russian.
