Ranchita weekend

Papa fixed the windmill that fell due to the Santa Ana winds. We got power again! Papa is amazing at fixing things. He can definitely figure out how things work mechanically and if broken fix it. Kristina knows it too and she is very proud of him. She will praise him every time he fixes something. "I love you dad. Good job! Good job!"

Kristina and Mama had all kinds of projects and fun things to work on.

Halloween pumpkin carving, caramel apples

Making Jiffy Popcorn - we laughed hysterically when we heard it pop. Never expected that the aluminum foil will pop up like it did.

(She is so dirty in the picture above. She can play with dirt all day but she cannot stand being wet. One little drop of water on her clothes and she has to change.)

Papa also watered his trees and Kristina, as usual, volunteered to help.

The tree Kristina is watering we call it "Kristina's Christmas Tree". It was our Christmas tree the year we went to meet Kriska, December 2005, We came back from Russia on the 23 of December, too late to decorate a big Xmas tree, so the little Home Depot tree had to do. The angel on the top was a picture of Kriska who was not home with us yet but in our hearts and waiting for papers to be ready.
