The making of the gingerbread house has become an annual tradition. Grandma makes the house ahead, and sets up a station for each kid (Kristina and her two cousins). This is the third year we do it, and it has been great to see Kristina's progress. First year she didn't understand much, she had just been home for a few months. Second year she just wanted to watch a Christmas show on TV. This year she was very much into it and spend her time decorating the house and being creative. They start with a tea party, then the houses and at the end they exchange gifts.
