Yes, almost one year ago Kristina came home. We had the social worker come by today for the interview. It was such a pleasure. We felt so proud of Kristina's progress. Their were absolutely no issues to report, Hurray!!! Even bedtime has become a breeze. We didn't have to do the talking, Kristina herself showed the social worker how well she is doing. She demonstrated her building puzzle skills, her changing clothes to go swimming, her story telling skills, her politeness by saying thank you, excuse me, you are welcome, etc. What a lovely child God has given us.
The laws have changed and Post Adoption Report (formerly called Post Placement Report) requires that the social worker visits the family within a month of the anniversary and not sooner, with that they grant you one extra month to get the report to Russia. The Project Manger in me was getting nervous about not having a report ready but it looks like it won't be an issue, we will manage to get it their in time. Poor Oleg, time to contact him and bug him.
